瑠璃光寺

 Yamaguchi city This is a temple famous for a five-story tower built about in 1442. This temple area is a park and famous site filled with Japanese apricot and cherry trees.
The five-story tower is certified as a national treasure. Moriharu OUCHI, one of the vassal lords, started building the tower to dedicate it to his brother who was the late vassal lord. It is lit-up from sunset to 10 PM.
There are also graves made for vassal lords.

 Motonosumi Inari Shine

元乃隅稲成神社

 Nagato-city This is a shrine built in a quay wall. In 1955, a man, who worked as a leader of the local fishermen, received a sign from God of fox and built this shrine. It is believed to bring people various good luck such as success in business, good catch, marine safety, fertility, etc.
The most impressive parts are 123 shrine gates. They are lined over 100 meters. There is also a blowhole. You might see the blow when a wind comes from the North.

別府弁天池

 Mine-city This is a very beautiful and clear blue spring close to our meeting site. This spring water comes from doline and its temperature is around 14℃ (57.2°F). It is in a shrine.
According to a legend, a millionaire had an omen then built the shrine and held a festival. At night, water gushed from the ground.
You can also enjoy fishing at a fishing hole next door and ask staffs who are in a restaurant next to the fishing hole to cook the fish and eat there.

Tsuno-sima

角島

142m This is an island located in the northwest edge of Yamaguchi Pref. It has great viewpoints. It is connected with the mainland by a bridge whose length is 1,780 meters (5839.90 feet).
There is a lighthouse made of stones and its height is 29.6 meters (97.11 feet). It was built in 1876 and has been keeping lighting the sea for 143 years.
On the opposite side of Tsuno-shima, there is a hotel and you can enjoy its open-air hot spring with viewing Tsuno-shima without having to stay at the hotel.

宮島

Hatsukaichi city Miyajima is one of the most famous islands in Japan because of being designated to be the world heritage and a beautiful and historical Japanese spots.
First, you have got to go to a shrine to see a shrine gate built in the sea. You are able to go to the shrine gate on foot at low tide. Or you will see shrine and its gate are like floating when it is high tide. It is said that the shrine is first built in 593. It has been having all kinds of disasters or accidents, but it has been rebuilt many times supported by worshippers. There are other shrines and temples in Miyajima.
Beautiful nature also invites you to Miyajima. There are various walking paths and Mt. Misen which has a virgin forest designated as a natural treasure. You can climb Mt. Misen on foot or use ropeways to the middle of the Mountain.
